What does the role involve?

Far from being a traditionaltecnical business developmentrole, being an International Business Developer with Hilti you need to think outside the box and offer value adding solutions in the dynamic, fast paced environment that is London. The person to take up this role will be instrumental in driving Hilti specifications by securing Hilti technical solutions on major global construction projects in the Facade sphere. Mainly in the area of fastenings, cast-in channels, rain screen bracketry and fire protection. You will proactively build relationship and loyalty with engineers and designers from the façade discipline, delivering value creating technical solutions through engineering services to consultancies and GB based design teams for international façade contractors.

You will be responsible for:-

•Actively providing expertise and technical advice in the design stage of major construction projects globally.

•Providing technical support to our other Engineers and Building Envelope sales team.

•Collaborating with international Hilti members supporting the façade solutions for key global projects.

•Providing design support to engineers and designers from a diverse range of disciplines and backgrounds - one day you might be giving a toolbox talk to a team of operatives on a large project site, the next you will be presenting a technical seminar to a team of consultant engineers in a design office.

Day to day, you’ll report to your Hilti Engineering Manager, who will also be there to help you manage your career.

Why should you apply?

What you need is:

•University degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

•Have knowledge of the facade industry, design processes and relevant technical disciplines associated with Hilti engineered solutions

•Have experience in account development and managing a territory with large number of accounts

•Have strong project management skills

•Have commercial awareness or previous experience in sales or business development

•Be enthusiastic, strong team player, pro-active and self-reliant

•Have excellent communication skills and the ability to form relationships easily

•Be living (or willing to relocate) to the South of England. (Most offices are in Central London.)

•Hold a full valid UK driving licence
