Our European Service Centre office based in Swords Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we’re currently looking for a Banking Accountant to join the Banking team of 15.

What is this role all about?

The Banking Accountant will perform the daily activities of the Banking department and ensure that the daily functions are carried out in a timely and accurate manner. The Banking Accountant will also provide support to the Banking Team Leader to facilitate the reconciliation process and ensure that outstanding items are followed up and cleared within 30 days.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·  Maintain cheque log of all cheques received in HEFC to ensure that there is auditable information available on all cheque payment and their location.
·  Prepare and enter all journalson time for month endto ensure ledgers are up to date and the month end result is accurate.
·  On a daily basis download On Line Banking information so that Hertz bank account information is current and transactions are recorded in GL.
·  Ensure that bounced cheques and Direct debit rejections are forwarded in a timely and accurate manner so that invoices can be reinstated.

Essential Requirements:

What do we need from you?

·  Accounting qualification: IATI qualified (or similar), or Part qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CPA
·  12 months previous experience working in an accounting environment
·  General bookkeeping to trial balance level
·  Fluent English written and spoken essential
·  Accounting for payments / receipts
