• Principal objective is to promote usage and increase sales of Joico products through education, training, demonstrations, and detailing.
• Manage education and training efforts within designated markets to build the Joico business via sales and educational pull-through programs, formats, and plans as established by the Director of Business Development and Corporate Education.
• Represent Joico in a professional manner, focusing on a high degree of customer service in order to broaden market distribution and sustain profitable sales growth.

Territory includes Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware

What we offer

· Distributor Planning: Actively participate in all planning meetings within designated divisions. Develop education and training strategies to support market sales growth, coordinate and plan the annual education calendar in support of overall account plan developed by the DBD. Coordinate Joico Advisor duties as directed by the DBD.
· Territory Management: Monitor education class and event needs for each division's market. Manage bookings of Advisors to meet business development needs in compliance with education budgets.
· Quality Control: Evaluate the effectiveness of educators and education programs being executed in the field, and provide feedback to the DBD and Corporate Education in the form of proposals for modifying existing programs or introducing new programs to increase effectiveness. Cannot unilaterally change technical content of formats or programs.
· Recruitment & Development of Advisors: Following direction of DBD and Corporate Education, ensure compliance with experience and technical criteria in selection of Advisors delivering education programs. Coordinate and facilitate Advisor trainings as directed by DBD and Corporate Education. Actively manage and participate in Advisor certification programs. Provide feedback and coaching regarding Advisor skills and competencies.
· Store Development: Actively participate in the development and delivery of store training programs, educational events, and in-store demo days to support market sales growth.
· Distributor Sales Consultants (DSCs): Actively participate in the development and delivery of Distributor DSC new hire training programs. Facilitate ongoing DSC training as directed by DBD.
· Detailing & Solo Field Days – New Doors & Key Accounts: Provide ongoing DSC in-field sales support as directed by DBD (high-value and opportunity markets) with the objective of opening new salon accounts and expanding Key Account business. Spend minimum 2 days monthly on Solo Market Development Days, focused on high opportunity new doors in home market.
· Sales Meetings: Coordinate and facilitate engaging, fun, highly informative Store and DSC meetings as directed by DBD.
· Shows/Special Events: Coordinate and participate as directed by DBD and Corporate Education, including artist bookings and show management.
· In-Salon Education: Teach on average a minimum of 4 classes per month to stay current with formats and ensure programs deliver results consistent with objectives.
· Budget Management: Plan, monitor, and evaluate results to ensure resources are being leveraged appropriately within spending limits and/or operate within established departmental and account specific budgets.
· Administration/Timeliness: Responsible for completing communication, reports, and assignments on a timely basis.
· Additional Responsibilities: Other projects and/or tasks as assigned.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Must be licensed cosmetologist.
·  High School graduate or GED.
·  Minimum 3 years behind the chair hairdressing experience, including chemical service application. Advanced hairdressing skills, with relation to chemical and hairdressing services.
·  1-3 years in sales/ territory management, beauty industry preferred
·  Minimum 3 years industry experience as an educator conducting technical classes and presentations for chemical application, as well as hair styling and finishing
·  Solid presentation and communication skills. Proven ability to conduct effective education classes in full range of salons.
·  Exhibits leadership ability.
·  Intermediate computer kills – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
·  Salon industry experience a plus.
·  Professional attitude and fashionable image.
·  Proven ability to work in a self-directed position.
·  Ability to be flexible, accept change, and be a team player.
·  Mastery of Joico/ISO product knowledge and programs, preferred
·  Ability to travel extensively.
·  Ability to work weekends.
