Henkel Adhesives Electronics is a global producer of advanced adhesives, coatings, encapsulants, films, mold compounds and solder paste for circuit and component assembly for mobile telecoms, automotive, display manufacturers and others. The European operation is looking to recruit a Technical Service Engineer to support customers in the Electronics industry in Europe, Indian, Middle East and Africa (EIMEA). The role of the Technical Service Engineer is to support the customer in the choice, use and evaluation of our products in the Liquid Gap Filler product line. Our new Technical Service Engineer will ensure that recommended products function effectively in customer's applications and processes. For this purpose, the ideal candidate needs to have a good knowledge of the latest developments in the application and product areas relevant to his area of expertise. She/he needs to ensure also that required technical know-how and information is transferred to and adopted by the AE sales organization for the assigned product lines enabling efficient selling of the AE products.
What we offer
· Responsible for customer applications projects, providing technical information and recommending products and methods of use for customer applications in order to develop sales of our products
· Carry out technical projects for customers in collaboration with the Sales force and customers
· Ensure that reports are written following the Quality procedure in order to develop sales of our products
· Communicate and work globally with other colleagues to ensure that the latest and best information is available in support of customers
· Ensure to be up to date with the newest trends in application technology for the markets served by Henkel Adhesives Electronics
· Be the first customer for new products developed by the R&D department by testing the appropriate application methods for these new materials
· Prepare and conduct presentations and technical proposals to internal clients and external customers
· Represent Henkel Adhesive Electronics at conferences, trade shows and industry association meetings regarding avenues of research and new advances
· Support QA function in resolution of customer's complaints
Desired profile
Who we are looking for
· University level education or higher degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
· Knowledge in application techniques like dispensing, jetting, printing, soldering or other material application techniques is an asset
· Preferably hands-on experience in a technical service or manufacturing role in semiconductor and / or circuit assembly production lines
· Proven problem solving and presentation skills
· Responsible for successful application of DOE's on projects to resolve customer and development challenges
· Fluent in English, ideally knowledge of two other European languages as well
· Respect for safety rules
· Prepared to travel (regular short term business trips throughout Europe and occasionally globally to customer and other facilities)
· Job location will be Westerlo, Belgium
