Overview:
Sonderhoff USA Corporation, a northwestern suburban manufacturing company that
supplies polymer sealing materials, engineering and services, is currently seeking a fulltime
team member to fulfill the position of Service Technician.
This position will have multi-tasking functions in the areas of Service, Contract Work,
Training and supporting Material Production. This is a hands-on position that requires
proficiency and/or willingness to be trained in chemistry-based knowledge of our
products – polyurethane and silicone based chemicals.
Targeted users for the application of sealing, potting, and gluing products are for the
following industries: automotive, filter, electrical enclosures, packaging, electronics,
appliances, and lighting. The customer base and applications demand technical
expertise in order to develop tailor made solutions which are superior to other
manufacturing options. Sonderhoff USA, an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization,
provides a single source of materials, contract gasketing service, machine services, and
machine spare parts. In addition, we offer in house training (FIP Workshops) and
machine sales for customers to easily progress from prototype to full scale production.

What we offer

· Primary individual, responsible for all Service-related topics, under the guidance
and direction of management.
· Develop and provide guidance to a team of service technicians covering North
America [Canada, United States, Mexico] with the goal to establish a profitable
business unit within the organization.
· Supervise, coordinate and perform customer service activities involving
assessment of technical machine issues, machine repair, installing new and used
Sonderhoff Engineering dispensing machines, training the staff of the customer
with regard to operation and maintenance of machines and proper reporting
and documenting.
· Supervise, coordinate and perform maintenance, sampling of gasketing
application work, production and customer trainings in house and at customers
site, including reporting and documenting.
· Supervise, coordinate and conduct quality control for sampling gasketing
application work, foam in place gasket machine applications, production and
customer sampling reports.
· Supervise, coordinate and assist in directing customer service and sales activities
involving technical machine issues and training.
· Perform and/ or assist in the Production Department as the need arises.
· Perform and/ or assist in the detailed documentation of actions performed for
specific projects. This includes creating Powerpoint presentations and
procedures according to company's CI.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Mechanical degree (A.S. or B.S.), or a related field
·  Experience in ISO 9001 and GHS standards are desired
·  Must have a strong experience in a similar mechanical/technical related role
·  Experience in performing quality audits and functions
·  Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role and job function
·  Critical thinking. Cause and effect analysis will be essential to this position
·  Process improvement
·  The ideal candidate should also have relative experience in the specialty
chemical manufacturing industries, such as Adhesives, Paint, Coatings,
particularly in quality related topics in these fields
·  Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and Powerpoint are required
·  Ability to read/interpret blueprints desired
·  Ability to understand electrical drawings desired
·  Ability to program CNC equipment designed
·  Understands G, M, F, R codes
·  Organization. Frequently and accurately work on several tasks at the same time
within assigned deadlines
