The QA Lab/Capability Manager is responsible to lead and sustain processes and capabilities in the lab and sustain the health of quality assurance work processes and systems capability in the plant.

What we offer

QA Lab
· Manage lab team of 10 to 15 associates, providing coaching and development opportunities.
· Manage lab equipment calibration program including calibrations, test method validations & new test method introductions.
· Manage lab document control system ensuring compliance to corporate and regulatory standards.
· Manage lab retain program.
· SAP quality management.
· Manage soon to expire testing.
· Manage lab budget and supplies.
· Monitor supplier quality performance, and report issues to appropriate management within the plant.
· Oversee weekly huddles, required safety programs and all process improvement activities.
· Support ISO lab compliance.
· Perform customer warehouse audits.

QA Capability
· Oversee plant Quality Assurance Capability audit and improvement process.
· Support quality requirements in R&D Plant trials and work directly with R&D and plant operations to improve lab and process capability.
· Deliver against agreed plant priorities for quality capability development .
· Ensure quality work processes are supporting the delivery of quality assurance goals.
· Analyze quality issues, participate in problem solving efforts to define root cause, and help develop and monitor corrective actions.
· Identify and implement systemic QA improvements across the Henkel plant network as appropriate.

Desired profile

Who we are looking for

· Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline required or equivalent experience may be substituted for education.

· 3 years' experience working a laboratory setting.

· Prior experience working quality processes and systems.

· Must have the ability and knowledge to handle chemicals safely and know the procedures for cleaning up any laboratory chemical spills.

· Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are required to facilitate interaction with cross-functional team members inside and outside of the company.

· Knowledge of Design of Experiments is a plus.

· Ability to think creatively and independently.

· Strong written and oral communication skills, organized, self motivated for excellence, has a high standard of performance expectation of self, works effectively in teams.

· Use of the Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Word, Power Point as part of normal job duties.

· Statistical knowledge and aptitude.

· Strong project, organizational and time management.

· Ability to work well with both technical and non-technical people.

· Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
