Brand Management Internships at Henkel in Stamford, CT give interns the opportunity to be fully integrated into a brand team working on both current base business projects as well as longer term innovation and new product launches.

Interns have exposure to strategic & tactical marketing as they worth with the brand teams to determine what, where and how to communicate with their target consumers. Brand teams also work closely with Sales Planning to optimize trade strategy with our retail customers and with our supply chain teams and demand planners to ensure efficient supply of product.

Brand teams also focus on creating and developing new products and identifying unmet consumer needs and other opportunities. For these projects the focus is on the longer-term product launches which are 1-5 years from launch. Brand teams work closely with R&D, package engineering, market research, and creative services to move new products from idea to reality.

Past Brand Management Interns have helped develop future marketing plans and execute current marketing plans, analyzed market opportunities and sales trends, worked with our agency partners to design print ads and FSIs, written new product concepts, tested new product concepts qualitatively in focus groups and quantitatively in Pre-Bases testing, among many other hands-on marketing experiences.

· Ability to gather and analyze data, and develop fact-based recommendations resulting from
the analysis.
· Ability to link information with marketplace performance. Requires thorough understanding of trade channel dynamics and franchise business strategies as well as competitor's strategies and their impact on the trade.
· Clearly articulate ideas through concise, timely and unambiguous written correspondence.
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills are also required.
· Understand timing constraints of brand initiatives and initiates activities with sufficient lead
time to successfully deliver each element.
· Ability to prioritize among competing tasks based on opportunity, urgency and management
directions.
· Ability to quickly identify the source of problems that occur, and develop alternatives,
solutions, and recommendations to resolve the issue.

· Ability to see opportunities, to anticipate market and competitor reactions, and to evaluate the risks of differing options
· High level of proficiency with spreadsheets, database, presentation graphics and word
processing software.
· A love and passion for marketing

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Currently enrolled in a Marketing MBA program preferred.
·  1-2 years experience in consumer products marketing and/or sales preferred, but not
required
·  Strong interpersonal/communication skills; solid analytical skills; working knowledge of
marketing and financial terms.
·  Ability to quickly learn how to analyze syndicated research data.
·  Speak English fluently
·  Proficiency with PC applications MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
·  Have current long-term US Work Authorization
