The Import/Export Planner (Beauty Care Professional North America) will be responsible for managing all imports and exports to and from the Professional DCs in Chatsworth, CA and Indianapolis, IN. This role will report to the Logistics Manager, and will have direct connections with Customer Service, the DCs, freight forwarders and customers.

What we offer

· Create all documentation relevant to import/export including: commercial invoices, packing lists, SLIs, DG Declarations, CITES
· Archive shipping documents in accordance with Henkel retention policy guidelines
· Work with Freight Forwarders to schedule deliveries and pick ups
· Track all shipments and alert customer service of any disruptions
· Measure and report on-time delivery for customer shipments
· Verify and approve import/export freight bills
· Investigate all freight-related issues
· Continuously look for process improvements and cost reductions
· Prepare and label all office DG parcel shipments
· Cross-train with other functions within Logistics

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Education — High School Diploma or GED required. College degree or progress toward a degree strongly preferred
·  Experience — Two to three years in a warehouse or logistics environment. Import/Export experience preferred
·  Special skills — Must be able to prioritize and manage his/her time. Experience with a WMS/ERP desired. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Excellent writing and communication skills. CITES knowledge preferred.
·  Certifications and licenses — Hazmat certification preferred

Physical Requirements:
·  Office environment. Some light lifting may be required.
