Whom does the foundation assist?

In principle, the foundation provides assistance to students from any discipline at state-run or private universities; however, the focus is on economics and the natural sciences.

Those students who do not have the necessary financial resources at their disposal must show evidence of outstanding performance in their studies in order to receive assistance. In addition to financial support, a scholarship awarded by the Dr. Jost Henkel Foundation includes personal guidance both during and after the course of study. The foundation also assists in identifying suitable internships.

When are scholarships awarded?

Scholarship applications may be made after preliminary examinations have been sat. Assistance is also available for semester vacations. Scholarships awarded are subject to ongoing academic excellence. As far as the Dr. Jost Henkel Foundation is concerned, it is essential that provision exists or is made for monitoring the academic career and success of its scholarship-holders on an ongoing basis. Before a semester commences, scholarship-holders must report on the previous semester and provide evidence of their progress in the form of examination results and seminar certificates, for example.

4) Certificate of enrollment for your course of study

5) Performance record

6) Two teacher's references relating to your study proposal and your personal and academic suitability

7) Income statements of yourself as well as of your parents

8) Details of your bank account including your IBAN for wire transfer
