An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join as a Category Controller reporting into the Head of Sales. The role will require you to lead the development of the Category Management strategy and Vision.

The key challenges will include:

· Focusing on leading the development of the category management strategy and vision.
· Utilising insight, data and market knowledge to form plans to win in the market and be instrumental in identifying category opportunities with major retailers.
· Coaching and leading a high performing category management team whilst also having personal responsibility for one retailer
· Managing the data and insights budget to ensure we are sourcing and utilising data which enables the wider team to maximise returns through full insight into market, category, customer, shopper, competitor and brand performance
· Working across all categories and all trade sectors internally and externally to support delivery of KPI's
· Interfacing between marketing and sales ensuring collaboration to match brand and customer strategies
· Championing and proactively leading ‘shelf excellence' and delivering against international objectives whilst utilising and sharing best practice
· Owning the NPD launch process and delivering via own team and the sales team against NPD launch targets

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Demonstrable success in Category Management within a competitive FMCG environment
·  Previous people management and coaching experience
·  Highly analytical with a high level of competence in interpreting customer data, whilst drawing insight and forming recommendations
·  Familiar with category and customer data and insight sources such as IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby, Selfserve and IGD
·  Excellent communication and presenting skills with demonstrated competence in delivering insight and recommendations, and engaging major retailers and internal stakeholders
