Job description

The role will have a reporting line into one of the Heinz Global Procurement Category Leads.

The applicant will form part of a team of the Indirect Global Procurement Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN ACTIVITIES:
For the Global Procurement department in Zeist we are looking for a Bachelor/Master student who is interested in an internship of 6 months.

The purpose of the role is to support and work with the global team responsible for the procurement of Indirects. Indirect procurement includes sourcing of premiums, displays, agencies, media , travel, staffing, car fleet, HR Services, Consultancy, IT, CapEx, MRO, Facility Management and Energy.

The internship can be used to develop a problem statement for a thesis.

The key activities of the applicant are:

1 A thorough analysis on spending and data collection of spend and supplier base. With the data gathering the applicant will need to have a pro-active approach in reaching out to the various countries

2 Based on the spend analyses a plan needs to be developed on how to approach the spend and how to fit it into the Heinz supplier reduction program

3 Contracts need to be updated and maintained. Applicant will assist in securing all current contracts are signed and stored correctly and termination clause is clear

4 Assist Global Category Lead and Buyers on current projects. This could involve conducting small industry analyses, conducting negotiations, drafting of contracts and setting up meetings

5 Assist Global Category Lead and Buyers with day to day issues (Invoice resolution, basic supplier queries)

6 Prepare the use of Heinz e-sourcing tool for procurement activities

Job requirements

- Applicant must be in the final stage (3rd/4th year of study) of a Bachelors or Masters study in Economics or Business Administration
- Interested in pursuing a career in Procurement/Purchasing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical capability
- A commercial mind-set
- Strong verbal and written business English
- Good/ Advanced computer skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Self-starter, able to accomplish tasks on own initiative
