Harris Academy Beckenham opened in September 2011, joining the highly successful Federation of Harris Academies in London. The Academy has specialisms in Science and Enterprise, using these to accelerate and innovate learning across all subject areas. Since converting, results have dramatically improved and we have secured a judgment of `good` from Ofsted under the new framework (July 2013).

We are looking to hire an experience Art and DT Technician to join our team at Harris Academy Beckenham.

£16,193 - £16,899 + Health Cash Plan + Harris Benefits (40 Weeks per annum)

Working as part of an experienced, collaborative and talented team, your role will be to provide support the DT and Art Department deliver exciting and innovative practical lessons.

Responsibilities will include;

• To ensure equipment prepared for lessons is to the specification of the teacher requisition as appropriate
• To assist in organising assessments and examinations as appropriate for the Art and Design Technology classes
• To assist A level students prepare materials for both 3D and 2D projects e.g., stretch canvas; preparing screens for printing)
• To ensure students` work is mounted and properly stored.
• To distribute cover work and ensuring smooth start to lesson with the necessary equipment and resources.
