Guy Carpenter is recruiting a Junior Catastrophe Risk Modeler to join one of its leading analytical teams in London. The position is suited to an analytical graduate who has an active interest in the world of Catastrophe Risk Modelling. Experience within Catastrophe Risk and insurance would be advantageous but is not essential. What is important is that you are genuinely interested in Catastrophe Risk and that you have a keen interest in Natural Hazards and insurance.
· Minimum 2.1 Degree qualified, or equivalent, in a scientific or numerical or geography / natural hazards based degree such as Science, Mathematics, Geography, Actuarial Science
· Strong IT skills including Excel, SQL and Programming
· Proven analytical ability and experience handling volumes of data
· Attention to detail
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication skills – written and spoken
· Some experience or knowledge of either RMS / AIR / EQECAT would be beneficial but not necessary
