We are able to offer an exciting internship role especially for those who are seeking either to gain experience in the communication field within a charity.
Objective
Your role involve coordinating the promotion of services and public image of the charity.
Desired profile
Responsibilities
-Identify users, and decide what to communicate to them and the best forms of communication to use
-Arrange publicity for the charity through different outlets
-Keep staff and sponsors up to date with news
-Provide the public with information when it is requested
-Coordinate and approve the work of artists, printers and monitors work in progress
-negotiate rates and orders advertising for print, television or radio
You will work closely with the Head of Communications, PR Coordinator and Communications Officer.
Language skills
-Fluent English both written and spoken
Necessary skills and qualities
-Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
-Time-management and organizational skills
-Flexibility
-Computer literate, desktop publishing skills, experience in web design
-Creativity to communicate in different ways
-The ability to form and maintain relationships through teamwork and networking
Desirable skills
-How to use different media for different purposes
-How to develop a communication plan
-Design and printing methods
Professional qualfications
-Computer literate-MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
-Degree in journalism, Communications or Public Relations
