Job description

Role Mission

The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of image events as well as in-store events and marketing initiatives in the United States and Canada. The role will work with Gucci America and worldwide teams to provide daily support to the Special Events Manager, Senior Manager of Special Events and Senior Director of Special Events.

Key Accountabilities

·
Collaborate with the internal teams to coordinate on events and initiatives including, but not limited to, product and collection focused events, fashion presentations/shows, worldwide initiatives, charitable initiatives, client driven activities, brand image events, etc.;

·
Conceptualize and execute smaller in-store initiatives in collaboration with the Special Events Manager, maximizing all available resources while considering the strategic focus and goals of the region;

·
Assist in the development and management of client focused strategies at the store level;

·
Collaborate with local vendors to accomplish specific image, budget, and décor goals of events: set design, lighting, flowers, catering, models, production, staffing, liquor distributors, etc.;

·
Facilitate event logistics with stores;

·
Contribute to pre and post event reporting and internal communications to the worldwide, corporate and local teams;

·
Manage charitable donation requests and oversee annual donations budget;

·
Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Consumer Management, Public Relations, VIP and Retail teams along with field leadership to optimize brand resources for each initiative;

·
Manage departmental administrative responsibilities including management of all special event inventories/materials, accounting and invoicing, etc.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Key Requirements

· 
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2+ years of work experience in events, marketing or related position;

· 
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Fashion GPS;

· 
Excellent oral and written communication skills;

· 
Solution-oriented and able to adapt quickly to change;

· 
Positive and focused professional team player;

· 
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;

· 
Includes travel within the US and Canada.
