Role Mission
The Product Marketing Manager reporting directly to the Vice President Marketing & Communications for North America is responsible for developing and managing a regional marketing strategy which focuses on key collection and product launches across the omni-channel network. The marketing strategy will be adapted locally, following frameworks and guidelines provided from headquarters and will span all of Gucci's product categories including: RTW, Accessories, Shoes, Kids, Eyewear, Jewelry, Timepieces, Fragrance, Beauty, etc. A strong knowledge and understanding of the luxury industry, from the external landscape to internal operations, is required to develop impactful marketing solutions and to successfully navigate Gucci's organization. The manager must be adept at collaboration across departments and functions (Merchandising, Public Relations, CRM, Events, Advertising, Licensing, Retail, eCommerce and Wholesale) in order to successfully execute high-impact marketing initiatives centered upon Gucci's products.
Key Accountabilities
· Develop and execute global and regional product marketing initiatives, delivering strong and compelling messaging around merchandise to customers across an omni-channel network: directly operated stores, eCommerce and wholesale/leased partners;
· Build strong relationships across local and corporate departments to drive coordination efforts and organizational alignment;
· Act as the central point person for all marketing and communications related to wholesale/leased partnerships working cross functionally to develop and manage each retailer's activities;
· Maintain and distribute the local product marketing calendar including the launch timings for key programs;
· Cascade marketing campaign materials across the organization – from corporate to the sales floor;
· Track the key performance indicators of product marketing initiatives and campaigns, understanding the need to drive both customer bonding and commercial results.
· Active participation in the budget process to analyze the allocation of resources behind seasonally product marketing initiatives.
Desired profile
Key Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications;
· A minimum of 3 years in the luxury or fashion sector, with a strong operational background in either marketing and communications or merchandising;
· Inherent team spirit and the ability to forge meaningful relationships across multiple departments and functions;
· Strong presentation skills – written and verbal – to share and communicate strategy;
· Experience in complex budget preparation and analysis;
· Thorough understanding of media planning, consumer management, and omni-channel retail;
· Ability to combine analytical analysis with creative and nuanced marketing strategies;
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, which demands both quick thinking and strong attention to detail;
· Strong project management skills;
· Highly proficient in MS Office (powerpoint, excel and word);
· Ability to adopt and learn new systems, analytics tools.
