UK Events Broadcasting Manager

The UK Events Broadcasting Manager role creates an opportunity to be involved in every aspect of GSK involving working with GSK’s global leadership team. Video is a growing field, with continuous broadcasting platform changes, which means research of new technologies and initiative ways of working is crucial for this role.

Additionally, with the global exposure this role provides there is strong development and progression opportunities.

Job Purpose

The Service Manager, Broadcast Event Support position ensures the successful delivery of live video communications using GSK standard live broadcasting platforms for an internal GSK audience. Events originate from global GSK sites and off-site locations.

The Service Manager will liaise with GSK internal customers and external production groups in adhering to the best practices for the delivery of these broadcasts.  The Service Manager will be accountable for any actions, from a broadcast and will follow up with internal GSK groups, managed service providers and vendors support to eliminate root cause of any issues and drive continuous improvement.

In this role you will…

·  Manage live and on-demand broadcast events, provide rich media support utilizing remote systems and network tools, liaise with global internal groups to ensure compliance of web broadcasting processes, collaborate with global production teams, resolve complex technical issues and capture data related to adherence of variances from established processes.
·  Adhering to the GSK Agile best practices framework responsible for all web broadcasting incident, problem and change management. Responsible for managing incident and problem management weekly meetings and driving resolution for all tickets and identifying root cause from any associated live broadcast.
·  Provide mentoring and support, where required, especially for external vendor and internal GSK staff.
·  Manage and direct real-time engineering and system support for the GSK standard live broadcast platforms.
·  Manage actions from a non-successful broadcast to find root cause of any issues.
·  Actively involved in voice of the customer, gathering information, and acting on VOC feedback.
·  Gather live broadcast metrics to drive service improvements and minimize network and system problems.
·  Work closely with internal customers and production vendors to build / establish relationships, advise on service offerings and make recommendations to the most appropriate solution for their business requirements and resolve any technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

·  Minimum BS/BA in information technology, media, or a related technical discipline
·  Experience with delivery of internal video communications in a pharmaceutical or major corporate environment (10k+ employees)
·  Experience in vendor management
·  Experience with Microsoft cloud Application platforms (O365, Teams, Stream, etc.)
·  Previous supervisory/management experience
