GSK R&D and Digital and Tech’s collective goal is to deliver business impact, including the acceleration of the discovery and development of medicines and vaccines to patients. GSK Development and Development Digital & Tech are in the final stages of delivering on a multiyear investment aimed at modernizing the clinical development landscape. In order to ensure we maximize the value of the data we generate using these new systems in combination with the data assets we acquire externally, new teams in both the R&D Development and Development Digital & Tech organizations are being established to focus on the governance and design.
In this role you will...
·
Engage with key stakeholders (business, IT, quality) to provide IT consultancy and plan enhancements, changes, and decommissioning activities
·
Provide technical guidance for project and team members (systems integrations, assessing impact of company-wide changes, e.g., Windows upgrades)
·
Take over technical responsibility for critical QC Lab applications used by GSC Tech laboratories
·
Create and update systems documentation, providing inputs i.e. for risk management.
·
Assess and address security vulnerabilities.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
·
Experience supporting QC laboratory applications
·
Experience with interfacing laboratory equipment with LIMS systems
·
Knowledge of LIMS solutions (LabVantage, LabWare, or StarLIMS)
·
Experience supporting Windows Servers, Relational Databases, LINUX and SQL (Oracle or PostGres)
·
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related fields
·
Good work organization and communication skills
·
Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
·
2+ years hands on experience as IT professional
·
Good English verbal & written communication skills (min. B2) to effectively work and
·
communicate across global teams across tech and business areas
·
Skilled at problem solving and root cause analysis methodologies
·
Proactive and ability to work under own initiative
Basic LabWare Qualifications:
·
Experience in LabWare workflows and static data management.
·
Knowledge on parsing script and LabWare LIMS basic, subroutines.
·
Experience in LabWare ELN and method execution process
·
Experience with LIMS modules like Stability, EM and Standards reagents.
·
Knowledge on interfaces for Labware.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
·
Experience of working within a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders to manage
·
Knowledge/Experience within QA or QC laboratory processes
·
Experience working in GxP environment is a plus
·
Experience in working with Scrum and Agile practices
·
Experience with maintaining inspection readiness and compliance
·
Experience generating and maintaining regulated technical documentation
