To enable these fundamental changes to our company, GSK Technology is undergoing it’s own transformation building new, advanced capabilities in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, AI/ML, Data & Analytics, Software Engineering and Product Management.
We are in an exciting period of our Supply Chain Transformation, with new capabilities being designed, developed and deployed to step change our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) by aligning all aspects of the business, including sales, operations, finance and supply chain. This enterprise-wide strategic initiative will help GSK to align strategic and operational plans, make better & faster demand and supply decisions based on accurate data and respond quickly to changing supply and market conditions to achieve business objectives.
The Director of Product Management – Demand Planning, is accountable for driving the vision, strategy and roadmap for a single product within the GSC business unit for all Demand Planning activities. The role holder will ensure that all work performed by team is focused on Value, Flow & Quality, aswell as partnering with the Business Owner to collectively ensure the product lifecycle is effectively managed and prioritized. The role needs to partner with the full product team (direct reports and matric reports) to ensure the development of the best full stack Technology solution to achieve the desired business outcomes. They will also ensure that Agile standard operating model, ceremonies culture is embedded within the product team ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Lead your teams in developing vision, strategy, roadmap and ensure delivery of the capabilities for your product
·
Coach and develop your product team to become effective team members that only develop and ship valuable work, focused on data-driven decision making and customer centricity
·
Coach your team in how to determine and understand your customer’s needs better than anyone, through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
·
Work with colleagues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds to set a clear and cohesive strategy for your product area, whilst still maintaining space to incorporate new ideas along the journey
·
Rigorously apply the scientific method and lean start-up thinking to set hypotheses, design experiments, test assumptions and break-down complex problems into smaller chunks

Measure the impact of all new work released on your roadmap, close the value loop and ensure adoption
·
Work as a servant-leader, reducing dependencies, removing blockers and co-ordinating with other product teams and key stakeholders
·
Ensure that within product you adopt strategies and tools (e.g JIRA, Aha!) to accelerate speed to value
·
Maintain high credibility and deliver real value by shipping product that make our users’ lives easier
·
Act as a leader to enhance and elevate Product Management as a discipline within GSK Tech

Basic Qualifications:

You have a BA/BSc degree in any discipline
·
Extensive experience in developing successful technology planning solutions, with experience in OMP preferably, but also SAP, 09, Aera, Kinaxis
·
Preferably experience in being part of a significant transformation programme
·
You have led teams that have developed successful Planning software products from concept to adoption - (Scale of between 3-10) in both direct and matrix organisation model.
·
You have directly managed product managers/analysts and are passionate about developing people
·
You have a broad and detailed understanding of product management techniques including customer development, discovery & primary research, lean start-up method and industrialisation/scaling-up
·
You have enough technical knowledge to understand your team’s software products
