The Supply Chain Logistics Expert is a new role which has been specifically created to identify and drive improvements in the supply chain and support the core roles already being deployed at Barnard Castle
Job Purpose
This role will support the Site Supply Planning Manager, in ensuring continuity of contact with markets and hubs and also ensuring that Key process and site knowledge is maintained and further developed within the Supply planning function along with absorbing the task that are deemed no standard to the core Global planning roles
• Key Responsibilities
Customer Material Information Record (CMIR) – Data provision
• Execution of Site Impact Assessment and liaison across site functions
• Creation of Site Item Data (SID) forms and working with GSK Trading Services (GSKTS) to ensure pricing and invoicing routes are in place alongside sold to / ship to, weights and dimensions
• Data set up for Non Standard Dispatches
• Execution of Distribution Risk Assessment (DRA) to ensure compliance to environmentally sensitive supply, e.g. Temperature and humidity when switching from sea freight to air freight
• Supporting the management of Supply Chain specific projects through to completion, e.g. Warehouse Consolidation etc.
• Supporting the management of standard and exceptional transport management from warehouse to MMW / customer
• Responsible for coordinating return of shipped product via the PRN process
• Responsible for initiating cross reference notifications for supply of new bulk product
• Completion of tasks associated with set-up of sales / SNP data to support new supply
• Responsibility for sanctions export control.
To be considered for this position you will have;
• Practical experience in running Supply Planning processes in a Pharmaceuticals environment including interaction with Commercial operations. Experience of a Pharmaceutical and/or FMCG environment is beneficial.
• Good knowledge of logistics and shipping.
• Advanced level Excel skills required.
• SAP knowledge

Desired profile
Basic qualifications:
Minimum 5 GCSE's or equivalent grade A-C including Maths and English
Significant experience in scheduling or planning
Preferred qualifications:
APICS supply chain certification or equivalent
