As part of this strategy, a multi-million-dollar robotic laboratory has been built in Collegeville PA to support the development, evaluation, and optimization of drug products. This team actively drives how automation is applied to accelerate the medicine pipeline, ultimately delivering quality, life-saving medicine to patients, faster. As such, the purpose of the role is to successfully utilize the automation assets for rapid screening and/or development in order to reduce design selection risks and enhance product design across all phases of development.
· Working in a matrix team, develop appropriate automation protocols to meet the needs of the scientists, analysts, chemists, engineers and formulators across the R&D organization.
· Optimize workflow design by successfully utilizing a range of specialized robots to run key pharmaceutical screening such as drug solubility, stability and crystallization; enhancing drug product design across all phases of development.
· Gain a deep understanding of early pharmaceutical testing and applying automation to accelerate drug candidates from discovery to clinical trials.
· Explore a wide range of experimental procedures and projects by working on new pharmaceutical assets on a weekly basis.
· Apply appropriate analytical techniques such as Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, FT-Raman, Microscopy and X-Ray Powder Diffraction to explore the physical properties of materials, excipients of pharmaceutical relevance, and chemical reactions of synthetic intermediates
· Participate on multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with colleagues to define and implement development strategies according to project timelines.
· Organize, evaluate, and present data in an effective and scientific manner using advanced software visualization tools
· Contribute to the development of new analytical and data automation approaches and knowledge within the global automation organization.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
· Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or related life sciences applications with 2+ years industry experience.•
· 2+ years Chromatography experience and tools (i.e. HPLC)
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
· Master's degree in chemistry, engineering, or related life sciences applications
· Demonstrated ability to interface with multiple internal and external groups to successfully deliver projects
· Broad knowledge base and active member of the analytical or formulation community
· High learning agility with the ability and willingness to deal effectively with first-time situations or changing conditions
· Knowledge and experience with statistical design of experiments and analysis of results
· Knowledge of solid state analytical methods such as microscopy, FT-Raman, and XRPD.•Demonstrated ability to integrate, test, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation such as HPLC & UPLC.
· Proven ability to translate scientific processes to new platforms and to identify new application areas
· Interest in development of end-to-end analytical and data automation processes.
