GSK is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Project Manager to join our project management team to manage projects and activities within the quality department. As our Project Manager you will lead the execution of high value, cross-functional Quality projects which are in line with strategic objectives using project management standards, templates, tools, and best practices. As a member of the project management team you will work directly with the Quality business unit to shape, drive and execute the integrated project timelines and strategy. The QPM will be accountable for managing the quality projects related to inspection readiness and commercialization. 

As Senior Project Manager, Quality Projects, you will be responsible for the Binney Street quality project portfolio.  You will engage across functions and business units to meet the organizations expectations for Quality, and creating a culture where employees are fully engaged with high job satisfaction.  You will be a member of the project management team reporting into the Head, Business Excellence.

·  Lead cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives on-time and on-budget.
·  Develop project scope, objectives, and budget, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.  Compile into a detailed project plan to track progress.
·  Ensure resource availability, allocation, and effectiveness.
·  Facilitate project team meetings to oversee the planning and execution of project activities to ensure alignment with the expectations and timelines.
·  Provide leadership for teams to proactively plan project activities, and create an environment where problems are addressed and communicated in a timely manner.  
·  Build strong relationships and take a lead role with stakeholders of senior levels and within external collaborator organizations.
·  Partner proactively with team members to identify risks, gaps, and resource bottlenecks and then develop and implement mitigation plans.
·  Measure project performance versus plan and milestones using appropriate systems, tools and techniques including but not limited to dashboards, metrics.
·  Effectively communicate the status and risks ensuring internal stakeholder accountability and awareness.
·  Develop a risk management strategy for the project and implement associated process and tools to ensure effective identification, monitoring, and management of project risks.
·  Cultivate and build strong, positive transparent relationships with project team and stakeholders. Motivate team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
·  Create and maintain project budgets and forecasts consistent with the project plan, timelines, and resourcing requirements and input into the company’s corporate budget and forecast.
·  Plan and perform change management activities with project sponsor.
·  Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
·  Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors as applicable.
·  Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
·  Use agile principles to reduce process complexity during the project.
·  Perform other responsibilities as required

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

·  Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering related field required.
·  5+ or more years’ experience in GMP biopharmaceutical industry in manufacturing, MSAT, engineering, program management, quality or similar disciplines
·  2+ years prior experience with project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

·  PMP or equivalent certification desirable.
·  Significant cross-functional leadership capabilities - ability to lead, collaborate and influence with logic, rationale, and experience.
·  Strong team facilitation, customer relationship building, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
·  The ability to capture technical discussion in the form of meeting minutes, decision points and action items.
·  The ability to be self-disciplined and individually accountable for delivery.
·  Pragmatic, Results Oriented and Organized with an ability to manage multiple priorities and readily adapt to changes in priorities and project schedules in a fast-paced environment.
·  Demonstrated ability to manage change and communicate effectively vertically and horizontally.
·  Problem solving in a collaborative productive manner to analyze and solve complex issues that do not have routine solutions.
·  The ability to capture technical discussion in the form of meeting minutes, decision points and action items
·  An energetic, detail oriented, positive individual with a high EQ, unquestionable ethics and integrity.
