Acting as an Indirect Tax SME for the North American region (mainly the US and Canada), the role will focus on supporting the business to achieve its strategic priorities, including providing advisory for M&A transactions and business changes, as well as managing risks in line with Global Taxes Risk Management Framework. This role will also manage the North American Indirect Tax Compliance by providing expert guidance to the compliance and process teams to ensure that operational controls and procedures are fit for purpose and risk is appropriately managed.
Key Responsibilities
· Single Point of Contact on North America Indirect Tax matters including sales & use tax, property tax, foreign withholding tax, and business licenses.
· Manage the Indirect Tax compliance engagement with the third-party service providers.
· Support the delivery of indirect tax projects, technology implementations, process improvements, and business integrations.
· Partner with the business and provide expert guidance on any indirect tax matters and manage risks.
· Engage with tax authorities to support the resolution of tax notices and audit requests.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
· Bachelors degree in accounting
· 2+ years of experience in a tax related role
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
· (CPA Preferred)
· US Sales & Use Tax preferred
· Proven ability to identify and resolve problems, demonstrable critical thinking capability.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with and influence customers remotely.
· Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences to successfully deliver services.
· Canadian Indirect Tax experience
· Experience with Vertex tax determination engine
· Aptitude for technology
· SAP experience
