GSK R&D and Digital and Tech’s collective goal is to deliver business impact, including the acceleration of the discovery and development of medicines and vaccines to patients.  The R&D Digital and Tech remit has expanded over the past 2 years, and to position GSK for the future, The change will strengthen R&D Tech, to provide more strategic impact, focus, accountability, and improved decision making in the use of Digital, Data and Analytics (DDA) to strengthen the pipeline.

Senior Engineer

In this role you will…

· 
The continuous delivery of technology solutions from product roadmaps adopting agile and DevOps principles.

· 
Ensures that technical delivery is fully compliant with GSK Security, Quality and Regulatory standards and keeps relevant technical documentation up to date in support of the lifecycle plan for audits/reviews

· 
Ensures use of relevant R&D central services and collaborating with service partners in identification and delivery of service improvements

· 
Ensures continuity of business execution i.e. operational support for relevant applications

· 
Proactively develops and delivers continuous improvement/simplification of Product portfolio to enhance user productivity, increase system reliability and reduce the total cost of ownership

· 
Provides technical direction and GSK expertise to product teams composed of GSK FTEs, strategic partners and software vendors

· 
Contributes to end to end release management, working closely with the Product Team members, software vendors and Business System Owners

· 
Responsible for quality and compliance oversight, including interpreting regulatory requirements, providing consultation, documentation reviews and approvals, independent monitoring

· 
Providing support during regulatory authority inspection

Computer Science or related bachelor's degree required although relevant experience is equally valued

· 
Experience in software development, architecture design (e.g. SOA) & technology platforms/frameworks

· 
Experience in Agile, DevOps & Automation

· 
Experience in Windows or Oracle architecture

Experience in testing strategies & frameworks

· 
The ability to make appropriate technical decisions, initiating action to resolve operational issues
