GSK is actively recruiting a highly motivated and capable Quantitative Clinical Pharmacologist in the UK to join our global department of Clinical Pharmacology Modelling and Simulation.

Responsibilities include
• Take a key role, in a multi-discipline team, in dose selection for clinical development and registration
• Apply pharmacometric methods to build knowledge, enhance trial design and increase decision power.
• Design and interpret trials to assess the intrinsic and extrinsic impact on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
• Defend clinical pharmacology plans and results through interaction with internal/external stakeholders
• Innovate jointly with adjacent disciplines such as statistics, biology, medical, toxicology, formulation and DMPK
• Learn and apply emerging sciences and methodologies through effective external collaboration

The role will be based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire or Stockley Park, Middlesex.

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
• Doctorate training and strong motivation to enable a successful career in quantitative clinical pharmacology
• Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task and deliver on time
• Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Knowledge or ability to quickly learn the mechanisms, endpoints, progression and treatments of relevant indications
• Deep understanding of quantitative pharmacology principles and working knowledge of common models and software
• Experience in designing, analysing and reporting clinical studies, with a model-based approach where applicable
• Familiarity with current international clinical pharmacology regulatory requirements
• Ability to collaborate effectively while taking personal accountability
