Details:
The NPI (New Product Introduction) function within the Laboratories based at the GSK Ware GMS (Global Manufacturing and Supply) Site is to support activities related to New Product Introductions for Oral Solid Dose and Respiratory.

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the NPI Lead, you will be supporting analytical method transfer for new products as they move from Transferring Unit (e.g. R&D) to the laboratories at the Ware manufacturing site. You will also support the transfer of established analytical methods to other manufacturing sites within the wider GSK business (potentially including its 3rd-party partners). Day-to-day the role entails planning and conducting laboratory tasks using a wide range of techniques. Daily activities will include analytical testing, method transfer and validation activities, preparing and reviewing documents (e.g. methods and protocols), setup of laboratory electronic systems, training laboratory staff, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives,

About You:
This role would suit a self-motivated flexible individual who has experience of working in a cross-functional, global supply organisation with strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve objectives and drive performance. Specific techniques that are used at the Ware GMS site include HPLC, Dissolution Testing, Cascade Impaction, Assays, and Automated platforms – applicants should have solid experience of these techniques.

About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company's pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products. This must be achieved whilst consistently delivering outstanding quality, service and value to our patients.

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
Experience of working in a highly regulated technical industry (ideally the pharmaceutical industry) with relevant qualifications in Scientific discipline.

Preferred qualifications:
• Operational knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes associated with a dosage form.
• Experience working in a cGMP aligned pharmaceutical environment.
