As a Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation Manager, you will lead the design and installation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems. This includes building automation systems, data systems, process control, Distributed Control Systems and utility Programmable Logic Controllers which are harmonized with GSK-standards.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
· Lead the design and installation of instrumentation and control systems including the building automation systems, data systems, process control, and utility programmable logic controllers (PLCs) which are harmonized with GSK-standards.
· Lead the design installation and commissioning of site electrical power equipment and distribution systems, equipment and associated control systems.
· Develop and optimize operation and maintenance procedures for instrumentation and control systems, ensuring on-line diagrams are up to date.
· Maintain current inventory list of all Process Control Equipment (PCE) and manage change control process for automation/Process Control Equipment.
· Provide technical support for existing instrumentation and automation and control systems.
· Analyze repairs and maintenance requirements to proactively address system weaknesses, including the development of validation documentation and validation plans, instrumentation and control systems.
· Develop training programs for instrumentation and control systems and stay current on developments in the field of instrumentation and control technology and GSK-Standards.
· Manage vendors and consultants to ensure that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required.
· Author, review, revise, or approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as required, adhering to all GSK safety guidelines and procedures and providing technical expertise during regulatory audits.
· Participate in site Operational Excellence initiatives be responsible for on time Compliance records of Automation Department.
· Troubleshoot and correct problems with instrumentation and control systems and perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable regulations, standard operating procedures, and industry practice.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 7 years of Manufacturing or Control engineering experience in Pharmaceutical industry
· Minimum 1 year experience managing Automation technicians, Calibration Technicians and Automation Engineers
· Minimum 5 years of experience managing Automation Lifecycle programs in Manufacturing Environment
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
· Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
· Proven team leadership and project management experience
· Experience leading the design, programming, and troubleshooting of process control instrumentation
