A position in Translational Medicine within Stiefel Center of Skin Biology is seeking a talented, highly motivated scientist to join our group in PA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement biomarker assays to determine drug MOA, target engagement and evaluate relevant biological effects.
• Undertake exploratory translational studies to identify disease signatures and relevant biomarkers/targets.
• Designing. Executing and interpreting proof of mechanism studies, studies aimed at identifying new targets for skin diseases.
• Ability to design and execute experiments and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner in both written and verbal form
• Adept at managing multiple priorities in an efficient and organized manner.

Desired profile
Basic qualifications:
• PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology or other Life Sciences degree
• 2-4 years postdoctoral experience
Preferred qualifications:
• 2-3 years experience in pharmaceutical industry or academia on developing, validating and executing assays and clinical translational research
• Expertise in molecular and cellular techniques e.g. RT-PCR, immunoassays,, IHC etc and the utilization of genetic and genomic data in biomarker/target discovery
• Expertise in human tissue-based models and cell based assays
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment
