As the Indirect & Operational Taxes GPO Manager, you will manage a growing team of European tax process specialists, and act as a single point of contact for EMEA VAT.

Key responsibilities
• Managing a growing team focussed on European indirect tax activities and projects in various locations around Europe. [initially 1 direct report, 3 indirect reports, expanding over the next 2 years]
• Supporting the Finance Transformation programme at GSK, changing the finance operating model including tax compliance
• Attending ‘In-Country Finance Boards', leading on Transaction Tax discussions, and acting as a single point of contact for Transaction Taxes for Europe Finance
• Leading on a wide range of Tax and other GSK projects (such as implementing tax law changes, business changes and transformation initiatives) by providing EMEA tax advice, analysis and decisions
• Please note that Customs and Excise Duties are excluded from the scope of responsibilities

Why You?

Basic qualifications:
• Degree Educated
• Qualified in ACA, ACCA, CTA or similar
• Strong experience in a tax role
• Strong experience in European VAT
• Strong communication, written and presentation skills

Preferred qualifications:
• Managerial experience
• Experience in tax technology, tax process improvement and/or tax transformation work
