**one year contract**

GSK is a leading innovative pharmaceutical company with an exciting portfolio of marketed products and a pipeline of a number of potential first-in-class medicines across therapy areas. We are seeking to fill a Health Outcomes Scientist (HOS) or Health Outcomes Manager (HOM) position in the Mississauga office to support the launch of GSK products. The Health Outcomes team works within a cross-functional team that includes staff from Medical Affairs, Reimbursement, Regulatory, and Marketing. The HOM/HOS contributes actively to GSK's market access strategy and leads the the necessary evidence generation projects to demonstrate value of our medicines, including meeting with public and private payer groups to present our value dossiers.

Job responsibilities include:

• Design and adaptation of health economic models for submission to Canadian reimbursement authorities.
• Design and oversee the outcomes research program to address data gaps relevant to reimbursement submissions.
• Cultivate relationships and collaborate with GSK global colleague, and apply knowledge of the global research program for the benefit of the local business. Influence the global research program to address Canadian research needs where appropriate.

Key Deliverables
• Submit and present health economic and budget impact models to reimbursement bodies, public health groups, and private and public payers.
• Develop outcomes research projects to address data gaps relevant to the reimbursement submission and the medical strategic plan.
• Serve as key contact for external consultants and CRO's for health outcomes-related projects.

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
• Masters and/or Ph.D. in a field related to health technology assessment, health economics and outcomes research, epidemiology, public health, health economics, or biostatistics.
• Research experience and technical capability in the areas of economic modeling, cost-effectiveness evaluation, burden of disease and outcomes research.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience with biostatistical methods, systematic reviews and meta-analyses would be an asset.
• Knowledge of administrative and other Canadian databases that may be applied to address research questions relevant to GSK would be an asset
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Some knowledge of the reimbursement environment in Canada.
