Job Purpose:
• Work with R&D business to collate demand plans for Early talent programmes (e.g. IP’s, Interns, Graduates, Summer placements, Pre-Reg, Apprentices etc) in the UK/Europe/China
• Work with R&D managers and Third Party Providers to facilitate recruitment & selection process for Early Talent programmes
• Work with hiring managers and GSK Apprentice Programme Manager to develop and improve attraction and recruitment processes for R&D Apprentices
• Provide consultancy recruitment advice on Early Talent options including unpaid/short term/ unique placements while initiating a risk assessment & management process of such placements in R&D (UK/Europe/China)
• Work with R&D business managers to facilitate a robust and timely budget process for recruitment of Early Talent programmes in the UK/Europe/China
• Ensure recruitment for Early Talent programmes meet all GSK legal, HR and R&D business requirements, including development of a diverse talent pool.
• Build relationships with all required internal & external business partners managers to facilitate & coordinate specific on-campus activities for R&D Early Talent programmes
• Advise and provide/deliver materials for Early Talent R&D Line Managers, on programme details, training, metrics etc.
• Assist with developing publicity, communications and events to promote the R&D early talent programmes across R&D, GSK and externally.
• Liaise with US Early Talent advisor to develop and share best practice, across all activities within the team
• Collate early talent metrics and track UK/EU/China R&D Early Talent individuals both on and after the program and feed into overall team dashboard.
• Assist Graduate Programme Manager with development and implementation of talent management processes for direct entry level R&D individuals
• Provide support in development of R&D Early Talent strategy and key ‘development’ initiatives for early talent programmes i.e. training, coaching, mentoring initiatives, apprentice training
Accountability
• Reporting to Graduate Programme Manager, R&D
• Responsible for consultancy & assistance in setting up of R&D Early talent programmes ensuring all legal, HR and R&D business requirements are met for attraction, selection, recruitment, on-boarding and on programme management
• Responsible for building relationships with all required internal & external business partners to ensure R&D leverage best processes for attraction, selection, recruitment, on-boarding and management of Early Talent programmes
• Ensure managers adhere to compliant recruitment process from sourcing to selection,, managing the Third Party Providers to ensure they supply an efficient and cost effective level of service to the R&D business.
• Develop and implement a robust and effective process for the management of ad hoc unpaid and individual placements in R&D
Complexity
• Key to successful execution of the job will be a strong customer driven attitude with the ability to build robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels both within R&D and across relevant GSK Business units.
• Ability to work in a complex, matrix organisation working closely with both internal GSK business units and External Third Party providers.
• Ability to work in global, regional and local context with the ability to adapt processes accordingly and influence key customers and stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and varied customer requirements simultaneously
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Requirement to manage multiple complex logistical issues and resolution.
• Excellent consulting skills with the ability to provide challenging but specialist advice and recommendations to the R&D business on all aspects of early talent sourcing.
• Maintain highest levels of confidentiality and integrity in dealing with all GSK personnel and candidates
**Two 3 day/week roles maybe considered for the right applicant. Please indicate in your cover letter if you are interested in being considered for a part time role**
Stevenage is the ideal location but GSK House and Ware working arrangement maybe considered.

Desired profile
Basic qualifications:
• Indepth knowledge of R&D and Early Talent programmes
• End to end early talent recruitment experience and extensive knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Knowledge of GSK talent management, principles, processes, systems, tools and templates
• Evidence of driving performance and change projects by use of metrics and data
• Demonstration of excellent team working ability and effective communication skills across all levels of business, globally
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience of Global Mobility processes and proven knowledge of handling complex international placements and visa procedures.
• In-house recruitment experience in R&D, especially in unique placements e.g. unpaid placements, Fellowships, International placements, jointly funded placements etc
• Proven record of working across boundaries with experience of working in a complex, matrix organisation which is culturally and geographically diverse
• Strong knowledge of Collaborative tools & Social media including Sharepoint (Team and Community sites), shared areas and websites
• Strong knowledge of all Microsoft progammes including Office, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Extensive knowledge of GSK HR recruitment systems and processes eg PeopleFluent and Workday
