What is the Purpose of the role?
We have an exciting opportunity within the GPS (GSK Production System) at GSK in Worthing.
The Site GPS Practitioner role exists to deploy and embed the GPS into a Site to deliver the Business Strategy and improve Business Performance (Quality, Safety, Service, Cost, and Innovation). They will also be heavily involved in change culture projects.
We are looking for individuals who have a broad experience within a manufacturing environment who have a continuous improvement mind-set. The successful job-holder will have the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders across all functions of the business and will demonstrate the drive to succeed at all times. They will be resilient and tenacious in their approach to drive business improvement. The overriding objective of this team is to apply lean/production systems for business benefit.
This role would suit somebody who is akin to influencing people at all levels and who has been involved in change culture projects, using lean/sigma tools.
The key elements of this role are:
Supporting the site teams in GPS roll-out; making sure that GPS is being used to develop the capability of all the Site personnel to implement day to day continuous improvement activities.
Helping ensure the day to day continuous improvement activities result in a continuous improvement in the Site Performance towards the goal of Zero Accidents, Zero Defects and Zero Waste.
Conducting ‘self assess' the Site vs. the GPS Maturity matrices and to support the site to close any gaps.
Coaching / training the Site teams in GPS

Supporting the Regional GPS teams in any “Turnaround Deployment of GPS” in their site

Desired profile
Basic qualifications:
What are the basic qualifications required for the role?
University Degree (BSc) or equivalent, ideally in Manufacturing/Engineering/Quality/Logistics or Business Administration
What job related experience is required for the role?
We are looking for candidates who have a sound knowledge of Lean and Sigma. You will have gained a broad range of experiences across different business functions (e.g Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Logistics and Safety), ideally within a manufacturing environment.
You will be able to demonstrate delivery of improvement initiatives and/or culture change year on year resulting in both financial and non financial benefit, and behavioural change.

What are the preferred qualifications?
Experience within the pharmaceutical industry would be beneficial.
