Job Purpose -
The job holder is accountable for the governance of all GSK Pharma and Vaccines brands wherever it appears (ie all media) no matter if created internally or externally and the accurate representation and reproduction of the global corporate brands and Consumer Relations information on Consumer Health GSK brands on packaging components and artworks.

Key Responsibilities -
Describe the key deliverables to be achieved by the post holder and the on going responsibilities of the role
• Co Create, own and update the brand and design principles into guidelines with internal and external applicable agencies; share and communicate them as best appropriate and ensure due adherence both in and out the organisation
• To work on Strategic Projects when required
• Support and train other function on the Brand's guidelines
• Resolve all escalated design issues and challenges with applying the Brand guidelines for all Pharma and Vaccines products and only the global corporate brands on pack Production Graphic Standards for Consumer Health products.
• Approve/reject any alternative usage requests or treatment of the Pharma and Vaccines brands and GSK logo on Consumer Health, Pharma and Vaccines packaging that are not detailed in the guidelines, including co-branding and partnership agreements
• Approve/reject any delay or exception requested to not apply the Product and GSK Brand rules
• Approve any use of the GSK global brand on any product brand on-pack PGSs or master artwork templates
• Police, enforce, detect weak links, collaborate, train and promote the brand design rules and principles
• Manage the impact of global branding at all stages; from the business deal, to design, artwork, legal, financial, print and production/regulatory schedules
• Take global Pharma and Vaccines product brand design control in terms of global consistency and driving markets to adhere.
• Establish, develop and maintain direct relationship and communications with the Local Operating Companies. Regulatory and brand managers.
• Maintain consistency across product variants in the globe/region to drive brand equity and enhance
patient and customer experience.
• Generate greater synergy across all brand assets (eg Point of Sale, digital materials) global branding.
• Work across functions to identify issues/opportunities and develop solutions to influence purchasing, testing and manufacturing choices to ensure optimal design delivery across all media.
* This role has overall accountability for the integrity of the Product and GSK corporate brand on all Pharma and Vaccines graphic assets and on Consumer Health packaging artwork, and therefore the successful applicant must have a significant depth and breadth of understanding in design, branding and its application.
* Be able to influence and persuade others.
* Some regulatory experience is helpful.
*Acted as the Brand Guardian for the main brand and endorsed brands, ensuring all products, packaging and communication meet the brand proposition and support the brand ambitions.
Developed brand plans for the main brand and endorsed brands (includes regular brand audits).
*Work closely with the Insight team to brief and understand customers views on the brand, design and communications
*Built and executed annual marketing plans for each of the brands he is accountable for, this includes:
• Working with the internal channel teams and agencies to develop the channel strategy, communications and media plans
• Building advocacy for the brands through an inside out plan
• Ensuring the creative direction is aligned to the over-arching master brand and endorsed-brand where appropriate
• Liaising with the Legal team to make sure all brands are registered and trademarked in the required markets
Skills Required -
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence and lead others and build confidence with stakeholders
• Must be able to work in a matrix environment, understanding different perspectives and identifying solutions that provide the best overall solution for stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to improve and develop new processes
• Effective project management skills and coordination of multiple tasks and activities
• Experience in creative graphic design/creation and utilisation of graphic design tools and techniques for the pharmaceutical industry / FMCG / Vaccines
• An understanding of end to end supply chain processes and working to customer requirements
• Ability to react quickly and positively to rapidly changing environments and newly emerging information
• Analytical skills for diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Brand Management including:
* Support on annual marketing plan development
* Customer communications
* Interpreting trends / competitor activity
* Design management (brief development with DM and Category)
* Understanding of Consumer Health category management principles
