Cellzome , a GSK company, applies its world-class proteomics technology to the discovery of safe and efficacious drugs and is now building up capabilities in metabolomics to study effects of drugs on endogenous metabolites in cells and tissues.
At Cellzome, located on the EMBL campus in Heidelberg, Germany, we have an opening for position as Bioinformatics Scientist (m/f) , starting 1st June 2016.
We are looking for a scientist focusing on analysis and interpretation of large scale proteomics data. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary environment containing computer scientists, bioinformaticians, biochemists and biologists. Key areas of responsibility include: providing expertise in large scale data analysis, data integration and computational biology.
The position is limited to 2 years.

Desired profile
Basic qualifications:
· PhD in life sciences with a strong background in bioinformatics and/or statistics
· Experience in large scale ‘omics' analysis including proteomics, metabolomics and NGS data and proficiency in a statistical programming language are highly desirable
· Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
· Good communication and presentation skills in English
