GSK was the first pharmaceutical company to set up manufacturing operations in Singapore, growing to be one of GSK's largest manufacturing centres outside of the UK.. The Jurong facility manufactures 16 active pharmaceutical ingredients used in a variety of GSK prescription medicines for the treatment of respiratory, HIV, gastro-intestinal, allergy, anti-viral and neurological conditions. Our second GMS site is Quality Road, one of the world's largest amoxicillin facilities and Singapore's first pharmaceuticals manufacturing plant.

The Role
You will maintain and manage plant automation and control systems to deliver quality products by ensuring maximum plant availability and compliance to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Regulatory at all times at the right cost. That includes carrying out preventive maintenance, optimization and improvement activities for the site automation and control systems. You will provide support for troubleshooting and startup/shutdown of the site automation and control systems. You will initiate and lead continuous improvement activities for automation and control systems to improve safety, regulatory compliance and cost. And you will also support investigation, plant improvement initiatives and capital projects on automation and control systems.

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate:
You must possess a Degree in Engineering (preferably in Chemical or Electrical & Electronics). You will come with either minimum 2-3 years of relevant automation experience or relevant working experience in Pharmaceutical, chemical or petrol-chemical industry. Knowledge of control systems is essential, specifically in DeltaV DCS and PLC will be advantageous. You should have track records of proven troubleshooting skills. You need to have knowledge of cGMP, strong compliance (rules, regulations & Procedures) and continuous improvement mindset. You should also come with proven strong leadership in managing project & contractors, leading investigations or troubleshooting. Whilst you should be mature and able to work independently, you should also have the ability to work well in a team and across functions.
