Dealer Inventory Manager (DIM)
Dealer Inventory Management & Refill is a department within Logistics Services Materials Management. We have the responsibility to globally secure the aftermarket parts availability for Volvo warehouses, dealers and end-customers in a cost efficient way. The department is responsible for the inventory management and optimization of the total supply chain towards specific markets, regions and dealers.
Dealer Inventory Management (DIM) concept is generally similar to the LPA (Logistics Partnership Agreement) concept introduced to Volvo Trucks dealers globally, which is proven to be able to support the growth of the company aftermarket business, and increase customer satisfaction.
DIM Japan team is responsible for replenishment of approx. 170 DIM dealer workshops for UD Trucks within Japan, and also responsible in handling the inventory management of the workshops.
Responsibility
- Be responsible for DIM for Japan market
- Drive the development of KPI’s among the dealers running DIM (Service index, Turn Over Rate, Auto Order share etc.)
- Make sure corrective actions are carried out when diverging from objectives
- Keeping a close cooperation with partners from sales organizations
- Report to markets and concerned stake holders about performance
- Assist in development of the DIM concept and processes together with colleagues within Materials Management Development
- Carrying out improvement programs for selected dealers together with partners from sales organizations
- Continuously work with improvements (OD/VPS)
Qualifications
- University degree in logistics or mathematics or statistics, or experience equivalent to the same knowledge level
- Good understanding in supply chain management and inventory management
- Good Japanese language communication
- English language communication, sufficient to support the daily business
- Good presentation skill
- Good negotiation skill
- Good level user in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel)
