We now have an opening for a Buyer position within the Metal Team looking for people with a great business acumen that will help us drive our business forward and shape the future of the department.
Mission
As a Buyer, you will be accountable for the QDCFTSR* of the supplier base on your segments. You will be responsible to make sure that the segment strategy is implemented through the selection of the right suppliers, by continuously securing supplier QDCFTSR performance and by using the tools and purchasing/cross functional network.
*QDCFTSR: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management
Core Responsibilities
- Negotiate and execute agreements with suppliers
- Forecast cost evolution for scope of responsibility
- Work with the Segment Leader to build roadmap & strategies
- Drive supply chain delivery and optimization
- Actively anticipate risks by scanning your portfolio and build action plan together with SQ&D, Finance, Manufacturing and all concerned teams
- Manage and negotiate product/processes changes
- Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR targets during production phase and after production phase for Revenue Parts
- Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers
- Perform hand-over to Uptime buyer when parts are phased out of production

- Master of Science or Business Administration
- Business acumen

- Excellent spoken and written English
