Contribute to our development:
Seb Professional innovates and develops digital services for its professional coffee machines Schaerer, WMF, and Curtis. Our teams based in Ecully (FR), Geislingen an der Steige (DE), and Zuchwil (CH) work together to build IoT services, with end-to-end management with the R&D teams (Products - Services) to secure the "complete offer."
Our customers (restaurant professionals, distributors, roasters) can thus supervise and control their coffee machines remotely to maximize their usage value (revenue, margins, availability) thanks to our Digital IoT Platform.
Thanks to our premium brands Schaerer, WMF & Curtis, and the performance of our IoT digital platform, we are currently leaders in the professional coffee market in various regions.
We are an IT team of 30 passionate individuals within the Professional Coffee Digital Platform, with extensive experience in their respective roles: architects, developers, Proxy PO, QA, Monitoring & ticketing.
As a Technical Lead Backend, you will join the IT Department based in Ecully, France, and lead the Backend development team (10 people) with a desire to grow the team by sharing your passion for development, driving improvement, technological watch, and knowledge sharing.
What will your missions be:
- Coordinate, animate, and monitor the activities of developers by assigning work according to the skills and expertise of each developer.
- Be the technical reference on Backend developments. In collaboration with the frontend and data teams, choose solutions to meet client needs, estimate development costs, and contribute to product planning.
- Enhance the development teams' skills, implement best practices, define development rules including quality standards.
- Analyze and challenge the work done by developers (validation of technical architecture, unit tests, etc.).
- Ensure the continuous upgrade of our cloud platform (managing EoL of components, framework version, security compliance, etc.).
- Support the design and realization of complex features.
- Contribute to DevOps, Cloud, Agile approaches.
- Advance our expertise, explore market technological innovations to integrate the most relevant ones into our IoT cloud platform in collaboration with architects.
Desired profile
Bring your skills :
- Solid experience in Backend development: C# .Net, ASP .NET (API and MVC Development)
- Experience in the software development lifecycle using, for example, Azure DevOps, Github, Gitlab, etc.
- Knowledge of one of the various cloud service providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), especially Microsoft Azure, is a plus, as are Azure services like App Service (API, Function, WebApp).
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a senior development team of about 10 people.
- Comfortable with agile methodologies, e.g., Scrum, SaFe.
- Ability to listen, influence multidisciplinary and international stakeholders.
- Ability to work within an international team and in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in English and French is essential due to the international scope of the position.
