Job description

MISSION :

The Production Supervisor for All-Clad has the overall responsibility of managing their production employees in their assigned area to promote continual improvement, compliance with Groupe SEB polices, exceeding goals and expectations for production and quality, and the creation of a safe environment for everyone. Specific duties include (but not limited to):
· Participate in activities associated to 5S, Lean Manufacturing, KanBan Inventory Management, MRO supply system, and other progressive manufacturing concepts and programs
· Coordinates a daily production meeting to discuss safety, quality, and production issues
· Completion of all reports in a timely manner and follows company procedures and polices
· Supervises all hourly employees in the area (20-40 employees)
· Communicates directly with the Department Manager regarding problems with plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement
· Working with R&D, Sales and Marketing, and other departments to manage and assist in introduction of new products launched in the assembly area and changes to current items (carton re-design, new handles, etc.)
· Enforces that the safety program is followed for all personnel to uphold standards of maximum safety for all employees, visitors, and suppliers
· Must work swing shifts (alternating weeks of days and evenings) and/or steady midnights
· Extended daily overtime and/or weekends required as needed
· Must be able to work regular shifts of 8- 12 hours per day

Desired profile

PROFILE:

·  Minimum High school diploma with good numerical and language skills (or equivalent experience)
·  A minimum of 2 years of direct supervision of shop floor employees in a union contract environment
·  Working knowledge of metal defects, finishing, and fabrication. Experience in collecting and interpreting SPC quality data a plus
·  Must have excellent personal skills in managing several different assembly lines running concurrently and can quickly adapt to changes in production schedules, product quality, and work staff availability
·  Experience in the setup to include small mechanical and pneumatic presses, hand tools, quality control equipment, and working with computer operator systems (panel screens) for setup and operation of semi-automatic production systems
·  Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Problem Solving A3, and other progressive manufacturing concepts and systems preferred
·  Basic Skills include: Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Outlook
·  Knowledge and experience in SAP business management software a plus
