World Class Manufacturing Process Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for a World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Process Engineer to join our passionate and knowledgeable Team. The successful candidate will lead, support and drive a safe improvement activity that sustainably delivers increased profitability, the best customer service and reduced costs, in-line with the strategy of the organisation. The role will also involve assisting with the identification, implementation and measurement of continuous improvement activity.

What will I be doing in the role?

In the role as WCM Process Engineer you will;

·  Be responsible for leading and facilitating continuous improvement activity on site
·  Drive a problem solving approach rather than problem fixing
·  Improve the Performance Control System (PCS) on site to ensure that there is daily control in place in addition to a weekly or monthly framework that will be used to drive and sustain all improvement
·  Ensure that best practice is shared and adopted by utilising the knowledge and experience across the organisation
·  Implement the foundations of World Class Manufacturing such as 5S, autonomous maintenance and standardisation
·  Work in a manner that is safe and professional whilst ensuring that everybody else also behaves safely
·  Audit implemented processes to ensure the gains are maintained
·  Regularly report on the progress of projects and improvement activity

·  The ability to coach and explain concepts clearly and concisely
·  A high level of commitment, flexibility and a willingness to learn
·  Highly self-motivated and have the ability to work under your own initiative
·  Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
·  The ability to deal with all levels of staff from shop floor to senior management and be able to influence all levels effectively
·  Strong numeracy skills and a comprehensive understanding of business drivers
·  Strong IT skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
·  Strong planning and organisation skills and a high level of attention to detail
·  The ability to effectively analyse data, make recommendations, produce and implement action plans
