As a process operator apprentice, you would be required to undertake the safe and efficient operation of hi-tech glass manufacturing and glass transformation machinery whilst learning how to recognise faults and process problems quickly in order to maintain the efficiency of the process whilst avoiding unnecessary process line down time.
The key areas of the process operator apprenticeship would include:
· Health & Safety Regulation
· Continuous Improvement tools including basic problem solving
· Dealing with the issues relating to a production line
· Learning to assist with plant start-ups and shutdowns
· Learning how to monitor and control the production line
· Learning how to communicate clearly with other team members, and managers.
· Learning how to react to non-standard or emergency situations in an effective way
The apprentices will work on days for the majority of their apprenticeship, with the likelihood of them working 12 hour shifts as they get towards the end of their apprenticeship.
We are looking to take on 3 Process Operator Apprentices to join our manufacturing teams. We are looking for a start date of January 2018. The apprenticeship programme will last 3 years, with the possibility of a permanent role to join our team onsite at the end of this period.
