Natixis is seeking a VP or Director-Level Loan Review Officer to join our New York team. This role will support the Managing Director and other team members in credit risk analysis and examination activities. It presents an opportunity to deepen your expertise in various lending sectors and transaction structures while contributing to the development of our loan review framework.

The Loan Review team is responsible for assessing credit and related trading and/or derivative exposures originating from various Front Office business units and Credit Risk Management within Global Markets, Investment Banking, and Distribution and Portfolio Management. Our mandate includes performing thorough evaluations of Natixis’ credit risk, reporting on risk quality, and assessing the effectiveness of risk management practices, compliance with policies and regulations, and adherence to market best practices.

 

As an independent third-line control function, Loan Review reports to the Head of Audit for the Americas, who in turn reports to the Natixis Chief Audit Officer at our Head Office in Paris, France.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Review all types of loan transactions to ensure compliance with Natixis credit policies and standards.
·  Conduct systematic assessments of credit portfolios to evaluate performance and adequacy of risk management.
·  Analyze credit risk assessments from the credit approval process (Front Office, Workout, Credit Risk).
·  Review current risk profiles of credit exposures and validate or recommend changes to assigned ratings.
·  Propose enhancements to underwriting, portfolio management, and credit approval processes.
·  Prepare Credit Assessment and Loan Review reports.
·  Stay informed on developments in assigned sectors and contribute to continuous monitoring efforts.
·  Participate in meetings with Executive Management, Regulators, and occasionally with the Head Office in Paris.
·  Provide mentorship and guidance to other loan review professionals on the team.
·  Work on ad hoc projects as needed.
·  Complete a minimum of 40 hours of training annually to enhance sector-specific knowledge.

The salary range for the VP position will be between $150,000 -$180,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.

 

The salary range for the Director position will be between $185,000 - $215,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance

Profil et compétences requises

Bachelor’s degree
Five + years of credit experience required, with a background in Front Office, Credit Risk, or Loan Review, and currently functioning in a director-level capacity.
Strong expertise in one or more of the following lending activities: Aviation, Commodities, Energy, Leveraged Finance, Project Finance, Real Estate, or Securitization. Experience with Latin American credits is a plus.
Proven ability to engage effectively with Front Office and Credit Risk professionals, as well as regulators. Credit experience as a regulator is a plus.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills; strong written communication abilities to convey information clearly and succinctly.
Knowledge of accounting principles (coursework or hands-on experience) is preferred.
Familiarity with loan documentation fundamentals.
Ability to promote teamwork and maintain effective working relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) is essential.
