Salary: £28-30k

Location: Christchurch, Dorset

Gozney Labs designs products, creates brands and builds businesses. Companies under the Gozney Labs brand include UK market leaders, The Stone Bake Oven Company, Gozney Professional Ovens and Roccbox which is set for a global launch in the next couple of months. We are looking for a 'Head of Design’ to join our dynamic, hardworking team to take on the various design tasks that are required on a day-to-day basis across the whole of Gozney Labs.

As Head of Design for Gozney Labs, you will be working very closely with all members of the management team to design and create new websites, produce marketing material, manuals and resources as well as undertake ongoing webpage/product development. The successful candidate will also be working very closely with an external web development team and therefore must have the ability to communicate on all levels and remain exceptionally organised whilst juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

There is huge scope to grow within the role and eventually manage a team of creative designers and coders as the company grows and the demands for Gozney Labs increases.

Attention to detail is essential as the successful applicant will be responsible for collecting copy and content and approving it for live launch. Experience in a similar role or an outstanding portfolio and a relevant skill base is essential.

Key Areas of Responsibility -

Examples of tasks required include (but are by no means limited to):

Creative web design (coding outsourced)

Production of company brochures and manuals

Design, layout and formatting of company brochures and manuals

Brand design

Photography and videography as needed

Editing and post production for photography and graphic content

Essential Criteria -

A full, competent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Experience using Adobe design suites (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator etc.)

UI / User Interface design

A creative eye

The ability to fully grasp a design brief

To be adaptable, flexible and willing to learn new skills

Ability to appreciate, grasp and understand 'the brand’ and successfully communicate that through your work

A driven and ambitious personality and work ethic

Education to degree level in a relevant area or exceptional experience in a similar role

Impeccable organisation/project management skills and the ability to stick to tight deadlines and high demands

Desirable Skills -

A confident photographer

Competent in video photography

Experience editing video content and using editing software

An understanding of web design, coding and SEO

Experience of the above listed skills and abilities are not entirely necessary but a willingness to learn and the ability to learn new skills and software is an absolute must. We are looking for a creative lead who is on the ball and wants to get totally stuck into the role and take a fully proactive and ambitious approach with everything they do.
