BACKGROUND
GovRisk is a leading UK provider of expert-led training and development programmes in anti-corruption and financial crime prevention. GovRisk’s work in the gaming sector reflects a worldwide need for the sector to address its financial crime risk, promote transparency and be more socially responsible.

GovRisk is looking to recruit one intern for its 2014 Autumn Internship Scheme, running for three months from late August. Applicants should have: a demonstrable background in creating marketing and sponsorship partnerships or email marketing, determined research skills and a keen interest in gaining practical experience in creating a programme from scratch.
This small team leads the organisation’s design and development of new international anti-corruption initiatives for governments, financial institutions and security agencies across the world. The successful candidate will help the team to develop and expand their work.
This internship therefore presents an ideal opportunity to contribute to the delivery of this strategy and to develop an understanding of best practice in research for project development.
MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE POST
• Support the creation of marketing and sponsorship partnerships for the Caribbean and Dutch Caribbean Gaming Forums and support the email marketing campaign for the Forum
• Conduct region-specific research, generating actionable information on the market
• Gather information, report back, and disseminate information on marketing and sponsorship opportunities to GovRisk colleagues;
• Liaise closely with the team and provide proactive input on project delivery
• Ensure that programme files (electronic copy), are maintained within an agreed system, to allow easy access by other staff;
• Attend staff meetings, and Board meetings if required;
• Carry out other tasks, which may reasonably be requested;
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Desired profile
Essential requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in any field, or solid experience in marketing/communications/events production;
• Familiarity with AML/CFT, Compliance, Gaming regulations or a relevant sector;
• Excellent research, writing and editing skills;
• Excellent word processing and Internet skills;
• Initiative and a high degree of self-motivation;
• A positive, problem-solving approach;
• Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle different demands and priorities;
• Ability to work to deadlines;
• Positive team-worker, supportive and helpful towards colleagues.
Desirable requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline;
• Experience of designing and executing an effective marketing campaign;
• Experience of working independently at a distance from Headquarters and projects;
• Fluency in the Spanish language;
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment: Unpaid position - travel expenses (Oyster Card) reimbursed
Length of internship: 3 months starting from Mid-September 2014
Hours: 25 hours per week (Mon-Fri), with flexible working hours;
