Position Description:

 The DevOps engineer is a well-reasoned Information Technology professional, able to apply system-wide responsibility to complex components of a project. The DevOps engineer will work according to requirements that develop through joint efforts with the business process groups. The DevOps engineer will often participate and contribute to the actual detail work of the specification.When work precedents are unclear the DevOps engineer should obtain advice from higher level Information Technology associates.The DevOps engineer may guide or instruct lower level staff members in project related efforts and should provide value-added input at team meetings.
The DevOps engineer will work closely with multiple IT product teams to continually deliver quality solutions and services to internal and external customers. They will improve processes and speed of delivery via automation and use of tools in the areas of software delivery (CI/CD); test automation; operational monitoring (APM).

Principal Responsibilities:

 

·  Design and develop integrated build pipelines using continuous integration workflows (ex. Azure DevOps; Git; Jenkins).
·  Support the deployment of containers and container orchestration technologies (ex. Docker, Kubernetes).
·  Lead Development teams to implement Test Automation (Unit, Functional, Regression). Create application performance monitoring processes to proactively identify issues and scale of cloud environments.
·  Develop, Maintain, and Modify all solution components (front end, middleware, back end); all the while working within a larger system scope.
·  Analyze, design and develop new processes, programs and configuration taking into account the complex interrelationships of system-wide components. 
·  Provide system-wide support and maintenance for a complex system or business process. Maintain and modify existing processes, programs and configuration through use of current information technology toolsets.
·  Troubleshoot, investigate and persist. Develop solutions to problems with unknown causes where precedents do not exist, by applying logic and inference with persistence and experience to see the problem through to resolution.
·  Confer with the stakeholder community on problem determination. Make joint analysis decisions on cause and correction methods. Perform tasks as necessary to ensure data integrity and system stability.
·  Complete life-cycle testing (unit and integration) of all work processes` including cross platform interaction.
·  Create applications and database with main focus on data collection systems to support Analysis, Data Capture, Design Tools, Library functions, Reporting, Request systems and Spec Systems used in tire development process.

 

Required Experience and Education:

·  Bachelor's Degree in computer science, MIS or related discipline.  
·  Minimum of 5 years' experience in applying current information technology to specific areas of the business.
