YOUR IMPACT
Are you passionate about working on Interbank SWIFT messaging infrastructure?  We’re looking for a professional to join our SWIFT Infrastructure team who will use their strong knowledge of SWIFT products (SAG, SNL, HSM etc.) to help uplift our existing platform from Solaris to a virtualised Linux environment.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Understand the dynamic compute world in which the GS SWIFT products like Alliance Messaging Hub (AMH) and SAA-CREST operate
- Review the challenges of the existing SWIFT connectivity architecture (SAG/SNL/HSM/Remote PED) and come up with a proposal for a new architecture which meets the goals of resiliency, performance and easy operability
- Partner with other infrastructure teams to implement the new architecture
- Work with the other members in the SWIFT team to perform extensive testing to ensure the new implementation meets our production standards
- Migrate connectivity from old to new architecture and then decommission old architecture
- Become a subject matter expert in AMH/CREST implementations and build up rapport with our EMEA user base
- Work with the existing team on various ongoing projects and rota based on-call work
- Understand what the wider Middleware-Messaging team works on and learn/contribute to other products e.g. Tibco EMS/RV, RabbitMQ etc.

Basic Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

MANDATORY SWIFT TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
- Strong knowledge and experience of working with SWIFT services (FIN, Interact, FileAct, Browse etc.) and SWIFT products (SAA-CREST, SAG, web-platform etc.)
- Hands-on experience with SAG/SNL/HSM/SAA upgrades
- Basic understanding of SWIFT message formats and Annual Standards releases

GENERAL TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Unix shell scripting
- Understanding of Networking and OS (Linux/Solaris/Windows) fundamentals
- Solid problem solving and technical project management skills
- Significant experience with the operation of large-scale/high performance systems
- Significant experience in operations and troubleshooting user and environmental issues
- Understanding of the software deployment process, with preferable experience in high-volume environments
- Strong planning, prioritisation and communication skills in the context of a team environment
- Knowledge of monitoring and instrumentation tools
- Experience with disaster recovery, change and incident management and operational efficiency programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to provide support to our users in all regions. This will extend from resolving product specific queries to coordinated software rollouts and production support
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, be able to work under pressure
- Experience dealing with demand based support, such as a rota based system
- Experience in working with messaging products such as Tibco EMS or RabbitMQ

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with AMH
- RDBMS and SQL
- Basic Java development experience
- Financial markets knowledge
