YOUR IMPACT
FICC Technology is looking for developers to transform their front office systems to align with the changing business environment.
Ideal candidate would have experience and interest in building large scale distributed systems that are fast, accurate, reliable and scalable.
Successful candidate will join a team of talented and motivated developers working on strategic and highly visible projects within the firm. The opportunity is for candidates who have an interest in understanding the FICC business and combining it with their technical ability to produce software for the firm.

The FICC Technology division works directly with the FICC Trading and Sales team to develop next generation systems to achieve their business goals. It is a fast paced environment where individuals with strong technical and interpersonal skills gain a unique insight into how financial markets work.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Build systems to support all aspects of trading for different asset classes within FICC
• Work directly with people across different divisions such as Trading, Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Strats

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Honour’s degree in a STEM subject
• 3+ years of professional development experience preferably in Java, C or C++.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools
• Analytical and design skills
• Good inter-personal skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in NoSQL data stores, e.g. Cassandra or MongoDB
• Experience in modern message oriented middleware, e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience in developing software for Akka or Vertx.
