As an Analyst Developer, your primary role isto participate in all aspects of software development lifecycle (design, development, testing) and support of applications used for clearance and settlement of securities product across pan-Asia and global markets. The candidate is also expected to play a key role in advancing the team's application architecture by leveraging various platforms being made available within GS Technology. Our applications are connected with various external depositories and banks to facilitate securities settlement as well as with many internal systems, the role provide opportunities to learn many different aspects of technology that supports securities business in GS.
Role summary :
- Design, development and testing of in-house applications to meet industry, business demand as well as to improve Operations efficiency
- Production support of global settlement applications, we provide follow-the-sun coverage by teams in Tokyo, Bangalore, London and New Jersey
Basic Qualifications
-Strong analytical skill to perform technical and functional analysis
-Self-starter and strong team player, highly motivated to support mission critical software with external cut-off times
-Strong hands-on coding skills in Java and strength in OO design -Knowledge of ORM /persistence frameworks (e.g. Hibernate)
-Knowledge and experience developing with messaging (e.g. JMS)
-Strong communication skill, written and verbal -Ability to interact with non-technical user groups
Preferred Qualifications
-Solid knowledge of Linux and shell scripting -Familiar with SDLC tools (e.g. SVN, JIRA, Eclipse)
-Financial industry background, and specifically exposure to back-office processing (securities clearance and settlement, Swift) -Experience of working on application with external connectivity
