The FICC (Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities) Technology teams works directly with the FICC Trading and Sales teams to develop next generation systems to achieve their business goals. It is a fast paced environment where individuals with strong development and interpersonal skills gain a unique insight into how financial markets work.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
You will work on a range of projects for the global commodities business. While the projects vary over time, our current areas of focus include:
- BoltWeb: a strategic platform for risk and trade management for Trading and Sales.
- eDealing: continued investment in the award winning Commodities platform Marquee Trader and related applications.
- Business development: new markets, partners and business segments.
Within each business, our teams are responsible for many problem spaces including:
- Trade entry, lifecycle management, and booking systems
- User interfaces for latency sensitive electronic quoting and order management
- Risk and position management systems
- Pricing and market data applications
You will also:
- Gain experience in a variety of technologies, including the GS platform SecDB, Java, web technologies (javascript, angular etc.), real-time cluster technologies like SPARK and NoSQl data stores like MongoDB.
- Work directly with Trading, Sales and Strats.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong academic record with Master’s degree in a STEM subject required
- Software development experience gained from working within Financial Services/Investment Banking industry essential
- Strong object oriented analysis and design skills required
- Strong programming/coding experience in Java required
- Knowledge of C++, Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS required
- Must have good understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Knowledge of software development tools and processes (TDD, Scrum etc.) required
- Systems maintenance (debugging, trouble shooting, version releases etc.) required
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be a strong team player
