Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Multi-Asset Platform Sales team was created to deepen client connectivity across a broad institutional client base, both bolstering cross-product coverage intensity to existing GS clients and prospecting new clients. MAPS has played an outsized role in the growth of market share with new clients in the last two years, onboarding about ~25% of clients new to Americas SecDiv, and has proven itself to be an efficient coverage model across products and markets, in part from leveraging new processes and technologies. MAPS is staffed by ~40 sales people covering the full gamut of FICC and Equity, macro and micro products. Within the FICC portion of the team, we are looking for someone to drive the roll-out, adoption, and optimization of electronic trading channels across FICC markets and client types, working in close coordination with the various market specialists on the team.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Drive client adoption and usage of electronic trading of FICC products (credit, interest rates, currencies, commodities), as the team’s expert in:
       - the different electronic channels by which GS provides liquidity in FICC products
       - how clients use each of them
       - each platform/channel’s competitive advantages
       - strengths/weaknesses from GS’s perspective and clients’ perspective
       - relative profitability
       - set-up processes
• Drive onboarding, user configuration, and user training across FICC e-commerce channels for the MAPS team.
• Close coordination with client acquisition team, account/doc set-up team, and relationship managers across the MAPS team to identify and capture discrete commercial opportunities
• Become the go-to advisor to clients’ heads of trading and operations re the cutting edge of FICC liquidity and trade execution/processing workflow
• Closely coordinate with FICC product-dedicated e-sales to stay on top of market structure, liquidity, and competitive landscape changes in each of these markets
• Assist e-product teams in identifying and collecting user feedback on features, functionality, and design enhancements to develop our electronic product suite
• Measures of Success:
1/ Total team revenue in electronically executed FICC product
2/ # of active users across electronic trading platforms/channels
3/ Electronically executed revenues as % of total MAPS FICC production

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunity, design a plan, coalesce support, and execute that plan, whether that is helping upgrade a client’s trade management/execution process, rolling out a new feature or platform, or overhauling the onboarding and support process.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as the role requires coordination and relationship development with various internal teams, client job functions, and investor types.
• Process-oriented, with an impulse to standardize and automate
• Instinctive tinkerer – asks questions about why things work as they do, can’t help trying new ways to improve processes and products
• Detail-oriented, analytical problem-solver
• Strong interest and understanding of electronic workflow
• Solid work ethic and positive motivation level

Preferred Qualifications

• Sales and relationship management experience
• Knowledge of electronic trading market structure
• Market knowledge of rates, credit, and/or FX
